Dangerous Goods Law (UN Orange Book)

The Dangerous Goods Law includes all international and national traffic regulations concerning the transport of dangerous goods as well as the transport-related temporary storage. It forms the basis for national laws, regulations and international agreements.

The basis of all regulations concerning the transport of dangerous goods are the UN model regulations, which - due to the orange cover - are known internationally as the "Orange Book". It contains a concise summary of worldwide recommendations for all modes of transport. On this basis, binding regulations for the transport of dangerous goods are developed at international level and are supplemented by the special requirements of the individual modes of transport.
